Ministry for Healthy Parishes

The Ministry for Healthy Parishes strives to support parishes to achieve missionary vitality. This ministry grew out of Pillar 1 of the Diocesan Strategic Plan (Health of Clergy and Health of Parishes), and includes Diocesan Intentional Planning, Evangelization, Parish Strategic Planning, and In-Person Lay Ministry Formation.

What We Do

Accompany Parishes from the Status Quo to Full Vitality

  • We help parishes along the path to full vitality with coaching, high impact tools, and curating and recommending resources. Learn more below.

  • We explore collaborative models with parishes to create opportunities for parishes to share resources and to respond to changing demographics. Learn more below.

  • We come alongside parishes when they are in decline before they reach a critical situation and guide them through a discernment process to one of three outcomes: a concerted effort for renewal (the roadmap), a new collaboration (intentional planning), or closure.
