Deacons

Each deacon is required to make an annual retreat of at least 3 days, every calendar year. Retreats can be taken individually through retreat centers, with wives, or by attending retreats sponsored by the Diocese of Toledo and then reported at this website. Following are upcoming retreats available to all deacons in the diocese.

Friday through Sunday, August 8-10, 2025 - RETREAT CANCELLED (one Deacon Retreat only was offered in 2025)

Sunday evening, September 7 – Friday, September 12, 2025 Noon; Post-Dinner Check-In

• 5-Day Silent Retreat, Spiritual Exercises by St. Ignatius for Priests and Deacon

• Location:  Spiritual Center of Maria Stein

• Retreat Master: Fr. James Mason, Vicar for Clergy of Sioux Falls, SD and Pastor of Good Shepherd Pastorate in Sioux Falls, SD.

• Registration: TBA

Friday through Sunday, February 13-15, 2026

• Retreat Director:  Fr. Joseph Mominee, Parochial Vicar, Saint Joseph Parish, Sylvania

• Time/Location:  Lial Retreat Center, Whitehouse OH, 6 pm Friday to 12:00 noon Sunday

• Registration: Will be available in late-November 2025 (after Thanksgiving)
